MISSION STATEMENT
The Calgary Retired Teachers’ Association (CRTA) is committed to improving the quality of life for its members through educational, social and recreational activities.

Membership Requirements

Membership in CRTA is open to, any retired teacher in the Calgary area who has contributed to the Alberta Teachers' Retirement Fund. Special considerations may be extended to retirees not precisely fitting the above requirement. The annual membership fee is $21.00 (including GST).  A reminder notice will be sent as the anniversary date of your membership approaches.

CRTA operates a wide range of activities and events each year: luncheons, theatre experiences, visits to sites around the city and the province, educational seminars, hands-on sessions and a yearly conference.

Membership entitles retirees to receive the CRTA Newsletter and attend the many activities and events organized throughout the year at discounted rates. The Newsletter and Website provide information about the activities of CRTA, volunteer opportunities and news about other seniors' programs and activities taking place in the Calgary area.

Attention Newly Retired Teachers! Any newly retired teacher can receive a one year free membership in CRTA when she/he submits a completed membership form to CRTA and indicates that he/she retired this year.

'Life' Members!

The Calgary Retired Teachers' Association congratulates all those people who have become 'Life' Members!

If you are 85 years of age or older and have been an active CRTA member for five years, you are no longer required to pay membership fees.
